– 略歴 –
ラスコ・ヴィドリッチ。幼少期から美術史の本などを読み、2016年にファカルティオブコンテンポラリーアーツ（ベオグラード、セルビア共和国）を卒業。過去にPolemical Zine (カナダ), A5 Magazine (イギリス)、Wotisart (イギリス）などで作品を掲載。グループ展でクラブオブナショナルシアターやビエンナーレオブスモールスケールウォーターカラーズ、個展でフライデーギャラリーに出展。主にベオグラードで活動をする。彼の作風は人の顔を表面上だけでなく、精神性や感情性などの内面から読み解き自分との対話として描くポートレート作品になっている。美術史の興味と同等にミュージックビデオや整形などからもインスピレーションを受ける。ポップでシュールな雰囲気を織り交ぜた画風は彼の思考回路の表現でもある。

– Biography –
Rastko Vidović began studying art history books from an early age and earned a degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Contemporary Arts (Belgrade, Serbia) in 2016. His artwork has been published in Polemical Zine (Canada), A5 Magazine (UK), and Wotisart (UK). He has exhibited primarily within Belgrade – including group exhibitions at the Club of National Theatre and the Biennale of Small-scale Watercolors – as well as put on a solo exhibition at Friday Gallery. Rostko’s paintings reinterpret the human face through a highly psychological reading of the subject and himself. He draws inspiration as much from music videos and plastic surgery as he does from art history. He twists pop imagery through a surrealist context as a means to investigate his own mind.
